PENSACOLA, Fla. – The opening day of the most important fall tournament of the season and the Lynn University women’s tennis came out and took care of business. The group won nine of a possible 10 matches played on Friday.

DOUBLES DRAW:
- Ulyana Grib and Valeriya Pogrebnyak won their opening doubles match over Tori Roberts and Sofia Rodriguez of Mississippi College, 8-0.
- Eliska Petrackova and Eleonora Liga took care of Georgina Groth and Lauren Lepore of Rollins, 8-4.
SINGLES DRAW:
- Fedrica Mordegan beat Verena Weindl of Palm Beach Atlantic, 6-2, 6-1. She went on to beat Paulina Cota of Mississippi College in the second round, 7-6, 6-0.
- Petrackova proved to be too much for Eva Rivoal of Valdosta State, 4-6, 6-2, 10-6. She would then survive the second round beating Nina Fumaniak of Saint Leo, 6-4, 4-6, 13-11.
- Liga kept the winning ways going when she defeated Rachelle Starrveld also of Valdosta State, 6-1, 6-4. Unfortunately, Julie Razanfindranaly of Barry ended the winning streak, 3-6, 4-6.
- Grib swept her way to the second round with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Brooke Herring of Spring Hill College. In the second round she allowed Lisa Kerr of Lee College to score, but not nearly enough for a win, 6-1, 6-2.
