All-Star outfielder Kyle Schwarber of the Philadelphia Phillies has been voted the National League Player of the Month presented by Chevrolet for June, and All-Star designated hitter/outfielder Yordan Alvarez of the Houston Astros has been named the American League Player of the Month presented by Chevrolet for June.
Schwarber earned his second career NL Player of the Month Award, previously accomplishing the feat while a member of the Washington Nationals last June, and is Philadelphia’s first winner since Domonic Brown in May 2013. Alvarez, who was announced Thursday as a finalist at DH in the AL in All-Star Balloting, claimed his first career AL Player of the Month Award and is Houston’s first recipient since his teammate Kyle Tucker last September.

• Batted .418 (33-for-79) with 19 runs scored, four doubles, a triple, nine home runs, 28 RBI, 13 walks and a .835 slugging percentage over 22 games played.
• The former Rookie of the Year delivered his 12th career multi-homer game on June 22nd. His 12 such games in his first 294 career MLB games were tied for the most in MLB history with Hall of Famer Ralph Kiner and Gary Sánchez in that span.
• Clubbed the 84th home run of his career on Tuesday against the Mets in what was his 299th career outing. Became the fifth player in history with that many homers across his first 299 career appearances.
• The 2021 ALCS MVP became the fifth player in Club history to bat .400-or-better with at least nine home runs and 28 RBI in a calendar month, joining Yuli Gurriel, Richard Hidalgo, Carl Everett and Hall of Famer Jeff Bagwell.

• The 2016 World Series Champion with the Cubs posted a slash line of .272/.385/.680 with 27 runs, 28 hits, six doubles, 12 home runs, 27 RBI, 19 walks and two stolen bases across 27 games.
• Has now launched 47 career home runs across 458 at-bats in the month of June, an average of 9.74 at-bats per home run. That ranks first all-time among hitters with at least 400 June at-bats.
• Clubbed 28 homers over the last two campaigns in June. Is joined by Roger Maris, Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa as the only players in MLB history with 28-or-more round-trippers in the same month of sequential seasons.
• Registered a career-best 31-game on-base streak from May 26th – June 28th, which at the time was the longest active on-base streak in the Majors. The last Phillies player with an on-base streak longer in a single season was Chase Utley (35) in 2006.
