GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida adds another multi-star gymnast to its 2026 freshman class.
College Gym News four-star gymnast Jayla Booker of Coral Springs, Fla., signed with the Gators, UF head coach Jenny Rowland announced today.
Coach Jenny Rowland says:
“The Gators gymnastics team is ecstatic to welcome Jayla to UF! She is an incredible addition to our Gator family.
“Her talent, combined with her competitive spirit and strong character, aligns beautifully with our team’s values. The future looks bright for Jayla and Gator Nation is in for a treat to follow her on her journey as she begins this exciting new chapter in Orange and Blue!”
Jayla Booker says:
“What I’m looking forward to as a Gator is to succeed in gymnastics and academics plus grow overall as a person.
“One of the reasons I chose the University of Florida was their coaching staff. The coaches are very nice and respectful. They help you reach your gymnastics goals. Another reason is because of the team. They’re very family-like and they’re always there to support each other. There are also a lot of opportunities and majors to pursue in the academic program. Go Gators!”
