Jahmyr Gibbs, Ji’Ayir Brown & Zane Gonzalez Named Week 12 NFC Players of the Week

NEW YORK — Nov. 26, 2025 — Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs, San Francisco 49ers safety Ji’Ayir Brown and Atlanta Falcons kicker Zane Gonzalez are the NFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played in Week 12 (November 20, 23-24).

OFFENSE: RB JAHMYR GIBBS, DETROIT LIONS

  • Gibbs recorded a career-high 11 receptions, a career-best 264 scrimmage yards (219 rushing, 45 receiving) and three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving), including the go-ahead 69-yard touchdown run in overtime, in Detroit’s 34-27 win against the New York Giants. He joined Pro Football Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson [11 receptions, 271 scrimmage yards (220 rushing, 51 receiving) and three rushing touchdowns on Dec. 1, 2002] as the only running backs ever with at least 10 receptions, 250 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns in a game and 10 receptions and 200 rushing yards in a game.
  • This is Gibbs’ third-career NFC Offensive Player of the Week award and second of the season. Gibbs became the fourth Lion to win at least three Offensive Player of the Week awards, joining Pro Football Hall of Famers Barry Sanders (11-time winner) and Calvin Johnson (four), as well as Jared Goff (four).

  • Gibbs is the third Alabama running back to win three Offensive Player of the Week awards, joining Derrick Henry (nine-time winner) and Shaun Alexander (seven).

DEFENSE: S JI’AYIR BROWN, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

  • Brown recorded five tackles and two interceptions, including one in his own end zone, in San Francisco’s 20-9 win against Carolina. He became the fourth safety (Calen Bullock, Kevin Byard and Kam Curl) to record at least five tackles and two interceptions in a game this season. Brown is also the only player this year to record two interceptions in a play starting within 35 yards of the defense’s end zone in a game this season.
  • This is Brown’s first-career Defensive Player of the Week award and is the first 49ers safety to win Defensive Player of the Week since Antoine Bethea (Week 4, 2014).
  • Brown is the second former Penn State safety to earn Defensive Player of the Week, joining Mark Robinson (Week 4, 1990).

SPECIAL TEAMS: K ZANE GONZALEZ, ATLANTA FALCONS

  • Gonzalez converted all three of his field goal attempts – from 56, 41 and 54 yards – and a point-after attempt in Atlanta’s 20-9 win at New Orleans. He was the only kicker NFC kicker to make multiple 50-yard field goals in Week 12.
  • This is Gonzalez’s third-career Special Teams Player of the Week award. Gonzalez is the seventh Falcons kicker to win Special Teams Player of the Week.

  • Gonzalez is the sixth former Arizona State player to win at least three Player of the Week awards, joining Terrell Suggs (five-time winner), David Fulcher (four), Jake Plummer (four), Gerald Riggs (four) and Pro Football Hall of Famer Eric Allen (three).
