June 13, 2019 More than 400 local high school athletes to compete in skills competition and passing challenge JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars will welcome the future of the NFL to downtown Jacksonville on June 19 – 20 when 16 area high school football teams participate in the Nike 11-On tournament presented by Whataburger at the Dream Finders Homes Practice Complex. This two-day team event combines individual and team skills competitions, a 7-on-7 tournament, linemen challenges and character development programming. The team with the highest combined score will be the 2019 11-On winner. “As a former high school coach, I know that the offseason is the time for players to sharpen their skills and the team to build chemistry,” said Jacksonville Jaguars Director of Player Development and Youth Football Marcus Pollard. “We’re excited to welcome these 16 schools and, for the first time, get members of the o-line and d-line involved in the competition. Nothing happens without those big fellas up front, so their contributions should count toward a team trophy.” Media are invited to cover Day 2 of the Tournament in its entirety at the Dream Finders Home Practice Complex on Thursday, June 20 from 8:15 a.m. – 4 p.m. Day 2 will feature passing challenge pool play, a big man challenge, and a Special Olympics flag football scrimmage at lunchtime. A full schedule will be released and distributed to media the day before the tournament. The 16 local high schools tentatively scheduled to participate in the two-day tournament include: Andrew Jackson High School Fletcher High School Atlantic Coast High School Jean Ribault High School Baldwin High School Sandalwood High School Bartram Trail High School Stanton College Preparatory School Christ’s Church Academy Terry Parker High School Ed White High School Vanguard High School Englewood High School Westside High School Fleming Island High School William M.
