Team returns to postseason on Saturday night at 8:15 p.m. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars return to the postseason for the first time since the 2017 season with a Super Wild Card Weekend matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 8:15 p.m., the NFL announced late Sunday night. The Jaguars claimed their second AFC South title this past weekend, defeating division rival the Tennessee Titans, 20-16, in prime time in front of 70,050 fans. The sellout crowd was the largest to watch a game at TIAA Bank Field since 2012. “It was electric,” said Head Coach Doug Pederson of the Saturday night crowd in his postgame remarks. “It was what we were hoping for, and the crowd delivered. It was loud. They stayed until the end. I’m very proud of our fans. We’re going to need them again (Saturday).” Tickets for the postseason game went on sale in late December and as of Monday, limited seats remain, including standing room only tickets. Jaguars fans should visit www.jaguars.com/tickets for all transactions or call the Jaguars ticket office at (904) 633-2000. The Jaguars do not have an onsite box office, outside of game day. Jaguars fans are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early with construction around the sports complex – as well as conflicting events – impacting traffic patterns and a big crowd expected to attend. Parking lots open four hours prior to kickoff. All parking passes have QR codes on the back that provide specific directions to each parking lot. Fans can also find parking information here. Saturday’s matchup against the Chargers (10-7) is the Jaguars’ fifth home postseason game, first since they defeated the Buffalo Bills, 10-3, on Jan. 7, 2018. Jacksonville is 3-1 all-time in home playoff games, while Head Coach Doug Pederson went 2-1 when hosting in the postseason during his five-year tenure with the Eagles. To date, the Jaguars’ lone postseason contest played on a Saturday in Jacksonville was a 62-7 defeat of the Dolphins on Jan. 15, 2000. The Jaguars and the Chargers have never met in the postseason. The two teams matched up earlier this year, with the Jaguars winning, 38-10, in Week 3 at SoFi Stadium. QB Trevor Lawrence threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns and WR Zay Jones caught 10 passes for 85 yards and one touchdown. LB Foye Oluokun led the Jaguars defense with eight tackles that afternoon.
