(On injury update of CB Tyson Campbell) “Tyson is close, but I don’t want to put him out there just yet.
He’s still working through it. He is feeling better, but probably still a ways. He’s closer, but not where we
want him to be, so probably going to be down for this game.”
(On challenge of hamstring injuries) “Hamstring injuries are different by player. Everybody heals faster or
slower than the next guy. You take them individually and our team of doctors and trainers do a good job
of getting them back. Especially now that this is kind of his [CB Tyson Campbell] second incident because
he’s missed time before. We want to make sure he’s one hundred percent upstairs before we put him
back out there.”
(On if there’s any distractions with it being a holiday week) “Yeah, there are. They’re good distractions,
because they’re typically family and friends that come in. You’re making all the plans to have dinner and
all those types of things, whether you’re doing it at your house or going somewhere. Making sure that
you get all your dishes and you’re on time and you get the drinks and you get the plate, everything is
ready to go, decorations, whatever it might be. The kids are all in the car. All those different things. I
think our guys do a good job of just taking a deep breath, exhale, and it’s part of it. We enjoy it, we enjoy
being around our families and friends during this time of year. At the same time, we understand there’s a
ball game and we’ve got jobs to do.”
(On if holiday distractions can be good during a busy week) “You hope so. We’ll find out today in practice
just how they respond. Typically, the guys have been good about it. Usually have a good practice on a
Friday and guys are focused and energized.”
(On talking to the team about not making this game bigger than what it is) “Yeah, you’re right. It’s not
the end of the year, but it’s big because it’s the next game. It’s big because it’s the AFC South. It’s big
because both teams are playing well. It’s been a while since both teams have been in this situation
together. I think all of that plays into how big this type of football game is. You still have to approach it,
quite honestly, no different than last week or the week before. You have to go play and calm your mind
and execute your gameplan.”
(On impact of OLB Josh Allen can be in this game) “Well, that’s up to Josh to strain and dig and try to do
everything he can to affect the quarterback. Josh has done a nice job all season and it’s going to take
another one of those performances. Again, their offensive line is playing good too, and they understand
where Josh is going to be. I’m sure they’ll have some intention that way. Josh is just going to have to fight
through that. When you have good seasons, you earn the respect of your opponent, just like we will with
[Texans DE] Will Anderson [Jr.] or Greenard [Texans DE Jonathan Greenard] or whoever, Chris Jones,
whoever we’re playing. Those players, in Josh’s case, have to continue to battle out there.”
(On if he remembers the first time hearing the ‘DUUUVAL’ chant) “I had a good idea what it meant when
I got here. It’s been a while since I had heard it, I can’t remember it. I remember, I think it was the day I

was introduced here, we went out back and actually had to do one. That was my first time. It’s been
good for our team, after games and just something we can have pride in and what we do.”
(On if players like the ‘DUUUVAL’ chant) “I hope so. We live here. I think it’s everything, it’s a part of the
Jaguars and a part of the organization. The guys embrace it, and they take it to heart. Like I said, we do it
after wins and it seems like everybody feels good when something like that happens.”
