(On how practice has been going with the change in schedule) “It’s been good. Obviously
the elements in Florida, hope everybody is safe back in Florida. No one can control that.
So, we had to adjust and everything’s good. I thought it actually worked out timing wise,
decent for us. We got here, I don’t know 11 or 12 yesterday landed. So, it’s been good.
Obviously that first day is an adjustment, you’ve got to get used to the time change and that
first night is big just trying to get on schedule. But, feel pretty good today and will feel even
better tomorrow.”
(On why it’s important for the quarterback and wide receiver to be on the same page) “It’s
really important, the game moves fast. When you think about the pocket, the defenses you
play and the defense of lines, you don’t have that much time back there no matter how
good your offensive line is. You’re playing against really good players that have good pass
rushes and/or defenses scheme you up and bring a lot of pressure. So, the timing is so
important and that’s a lot of what chemistry is. It’s just the timing with your receivers,
talking through every different possible scenario and look that they could see. The more
that you can think the same the more success you’re going to have because you can
anticipate and you can do things before they happen.”
(On WR Brian Thomas Jr. who looks like the real deal) “He’s been great. I’ve been impressed
with the way that he carries himself, he’s just a hard worker, a quieter guy but when it
comes to playing he turns it on. I’ve been impressed with how quickly he’s gotten better too
every week throughout the season and even going back to the offseason. He’s learning the
offense really quickly then. I think that’s helped him now in the season be able to play fast.
He’s done a great job and I’m looking forward to building that connection over the years and
he’s had a heck of a start to his career.”
(On how he is going to use the momentum of last weeks game against the Colts moving
forward) “I think just for all of us we needed to get a win. We started the season a little
rough, not the way you want to start but for us last week it was just take it one week at a
time, just try to get one. You can’t go back and get the other four that we missed out on, but
you can go get one this week and that’s the same message going into this week against
Chicago. It’s the same thing, just try to do whatever you can to win one more game. Then
next week will come and we’ll figure it out then. But just taking it one game at a time I think
that will help myself, help the team play free and just focus on one play at a time and do
your job. I thought that was a good week last week to do that and we’re going to have to do it
again. This league it moves quick. Every week is a challenge, and you’ve got to play well
every week.”
(On winning both games in London in 2023 and trying to do that again this year) “Yeah, it’s
no secret you look at where we’re at as a team and we need to win, we need to win most the
rest of our games. Obviously, you can’t look ahead but just looking at where we’re at, just
being honest. So, we understand where we’re at as a team and I think the best way to do
that though is to focus one week at a time. We’d love to come away from London 2-0 here,
but first we’ve got to put our best foot forward so we can beat Chicago. That’s the plan on
Sunday and beyond that you can’t worry until that time gets here. I think just keeping
ourselves in the moment and not trying to chase all these wins, just going one week at a
time is how you get there.”
(On what kind of a boost having TE Evan Engram back would bring to the offense) “It’d be
great. Yeah, it will be really good to get him back out there. We have some great chemistry,
played with him going on three years now. So, just to get him back out there will be
awesome. I think just the element he brings, run game, pass game, getting the ball in his
hands, letting him work in space, he’s just a great dynamic player that changes the game.
Having him back is only going to help us. The other guys have done a great job stepping up
while he was out but definitely will be good to get him back hopefully this week.”
(On if he has his usual spots in London or if he is trying to discover new things) “Trying to do
new stuff. When we do have some time to go there and explore a little bit, there’s so much
to do, there’s so many great restaurants. So try to change it up a little bit. Haven’t got a
chance to do anything yet, just got in but maybe next week we’ll get a little bit of time. But
yeah, I like to change it up and try to see everything. Obviously I’ve seen a lot of the staples
but as far as food goes I love just trying new restaurants here because there’s some great
food.”
(On EverBank becoming TrevorBank for the home opener) “Yeah, I think it was a good
spinoff and play on words for the game. Definitely disappointed in the result. That was
unfortunate we weren’t able to win that game. But it’s cool to be able to do things like that
in Jacksonville, city that means a lot to us. The team I got drafted to and it’s changed over
the past couple of years and it’s exciting. I love the trajectory where we’re headed but the
biggest thing to go get there is to keep winning games. We need to do a little bit more of that
so I’m excited for that challenge. We’ve just got to perform on the field and I think
everything takes care of itself.”
(On why the team has been successful in London) “Yeah, I think it’s different every year.
You’ve got to prove it every year and I know Chicago is a good team coming in here. I’m sure
they have a great plan and they’re ready to roll for Sunday too. You have to really attack it
every year the same way and not take anything for granted, but I just think being over here,
having our schedule down, understanding kind of the travel deal and how you’re going to
feel when you land, a little sluggish and I think we’ve just ironed out some of the possible
issues just from being over here so much. So maybe that’s part of it. I think we’ve just
embraced it too at this point, like we kind of enjoy the change of scenery and just being
able to have an opportunity. This is a pretty unique opportunity to get to play football games
over here. I mean not that many people get to do it. So, it’s pretty cool when we’ve
embraced it and we enjoy it and this place is beautiful. Love staying here at the Grove, so
there’s a lot of pluses to it and but at the end of the day, we’re here to win some games. We
keep that in the forefront and most important thing.”
(On how the team avoids a sluggish start to the game on Sunday) “Just go out there and
play. None of that matters once you step foot on the field on Sunday, you just have got go
play. That was the travel arrangements that we chose, that’s kind of how we’ve always done
it, and we have trust and faith in our process and how we do it. Obviously every team does
it a little bit different. But there’s no excuses come Sunday, so we’ve got to put a good
product out there and go out there and play well.
(On the pressure of being a number one overall draft pick and how he’s seen Bears QB
Caleb Williams handle it) “He looks great, obviously it’s never going to be perfect. There’s
always going to be some ups and downs. I thought he’s done a nice job. He’s carried
himself well. Seems like he’s leading the team really well and they’re in a good spot. They
have a really good team – offense, defense, all the way around. So, I think he’s doing a good
job. It’s just about learning every week. You’re going to learn something new. That’s what
this game is about in general, not just as a rookie, but just learning every week, taking it in
stride, not losing your confidence, which seems like he has a lot of. So, I think he’s done a
nice job. It’s a long year and obviously I’ve kept track of his career, and rooting for him – not
on Sunday necessarily but past that, you know, as NFC guy and rooting for him to have
success besides on Sunday.
(On which country he would most like the NFL International Series to expand to) “It would
be cool to go to Italy. That’d be a fun one.”
(On leaning into his previous experiences in his fourth year) “I’ve gotten obviously my
routine. I’ve gotten, kind of, things dialed in over the few years I’ve had. But every season is
a new journey, new experiences, you have a new team. There’s a lot of different things that
change. So, I think it’s kind of both, to be honest. I feel more comfortable and it’s nice. This
is my third year in this offense, which feels good. That’s an area that is good to have some
carryover and you know the offense, you know the system, feels like you can play faster as
a quarterback. But then again, you change players every year and a lot of things change so
it’s all just like the ebbs and flows of the season and settling in and for our team where
we’re at now and this is kind of the time to do that, and we felt we got a good start last week
and we just want to keep that going. But yeah, feel pretty comfortable going on my fourth
year.
(On what he’s seen from the offensive line) “They’ve done a great job. I mean, last week I
didn’t even get hit besides on a couple QB sneaks. So, not being touched and you throw the
ball that that much in a game – it’s pretty rare. So, I’m proud of that group up front. They’ve
worked really hard and that’s just – it’s a thankless position. Those guys don’t get much
love, so it’s been cool to see, to get the questions about them and to be able to talk about
them and for everybody to love them up a little bit because the stuff that they do, not a lot
of people would want to do that, you know. The dirty work and physical, you’re on the
ground almost every play, and you don’t really get any attention unless you do something
wrong. So, you know for those guys, I’m appreciative of them and I know the sacrifices they
make, and they’ve done a heck of a job preparing every week. The last two weeks, they’ve
done a great job, but I think the whole season they’ve really protected well and done some
things some really good things. So, we’ve just got to keep building off of it. We’ve got to do it
every week and those guys know the challenge in front of them, and excited to do it again.”

(On how the last few days of travel were) “Yeah, we obviously had Hurricane Milton
barreling down on us there in the state of Florida but our team of people that prepared this
trip, I thought did an outstanding job for us, made the transition really easy. We just backed
the time up and waited for the weather to kind of clear and get a little bit easier, but it’s
been a good transition coming over. We had a good day yesterday, again today so guys are
in a good spot.”
(On if there was damage inflicted on the organization by Hurricane Milton) “In our area, no.
We kind of escaped that just a little bit. It went south of us. We just got a lot of wind, some
rain, things of that nature but I know the [Tampa Bay] Buccaneers had to move and a lot of
folks out of Tampa had to move and hopefully for them everything’s OK.”
(On if he had to alter the schedule due to a later arrival) “No, pretty much stayed on
schedule, quite frankly. Yesterday was a little different, obviously, because we didn’t get a
chance to practice here. We did some meetings and things once we got into town, but
today was back on schedule, kind of normal. It just allowed for us to get a few more things
done on Thursday in Jacksonville before we travel.”
(On if he had to shift the practice schedule on Friday) “Yeah, because we normally would
land, call it 6 a.m., 6:30 [a.m.] and get over here and we’d have a normal Friday, meetings,
full practice, things of that nature. But because of the late nature of us leaving at 10 p.m.
Thursday night, it put us in here around 1:30 [p.m.] or so here yesterday afternoon and with
it being dark sooner. So, I just wanted to get some meeting time and then just get the guys
off their feet a little bit.”
(On why it’s important to find different ways to win, especially given their success in
London) “Yeah, I think coming over here is good for us from the standpoint of it’s just us,
right? It’s just the team and we’re here for the two weeks, two games and kind of away from
everything. Whether that’s the key to the kingdom or not, it’s worked. But the thing is too,
the guys have really handled the travel well, they’ve handled their business well. I do give
them time to experience London after the game, Monday, before we get ready for the next
game. But the guys do a really good job of focusing in and I think too just the excitement of
coming over for the guys makes a difference.”
(On how much of a boost the win vs. Indianapolis gives the team) “Yeah, it’s a huge boost
and we needed that. We needed that for our quarterback, for our team to figure out a way to
win a football game. We’ve kind of – self-inflicted wounds, I guess, early in the season but
we played a pretty good game last week and held on to the end. It was a great kick, Cam [K
Cam Little], for his first game-winning kick like that was huge. Just lifted the team and
obviously, a division opponent against the Colts who played a good game as well. So just
overall the game that we needed.”
(On RB Tank Bigsby’s impact on the team) “Yeah, I think Tank’s been doing a really good job.
He went into this year and still really is in that backup role. TJ [RB Travis Etienne Jr.] is the
guy. But Tank, listen, he’s learned. He’s learning to play this game and learning to play and
run hard and run tough and he’s been the beneficiary of some explosive runs. You never
know when they’re going to come, and he’s always prepared. It’s one thing I appreciate
about Tank: the way he practices and the way he plays, the way he prepares. Really, it’s no
surprise that he’s had this success early so far this year.”
(On if he sees the offense having multiple running backs) “I so. Travis is still working through
his injury and all of that. I think you’ve got to have the two guys and two different styles
obviously. It’s a long season. We’re still in Week 6 right here, but both guys have done a
great job. TJ’s doing a nice job as well”
(On if has any concern about getting to a slow start on Sunday and injury update for TE Evan
Engram) “Obviously there’s that concern, I guess. Slow start, sluggish, things of that nature.
These guys have been here before. They know what it’s like. They’re prepared and ready to
go. They’re excited for this opportunity against a good football team. Evan’s case, he’s been
trending good. He had a good week of practice so I would lean towards him playing in this
game.”
(On how impressed he has been with WR Brian Thomas Jr.) “That’s the reason we drafted
him. Yeah, he’s been explosive for us. The more ways we can find opportunities, we need to
do that as a staff, offensively. I think Press [Offensive Coordinator Press Taylor] has done a
great job of dialing up the shots when we needed him. His speed is real. We’ve talked about
that. It shows on tape. He’s a great learner. He practices well. He’s a tough kid and excited
that we have him. We’ve got to continue to find ways to get him to the ball.”
(On the positive takeaways from the games played so far) “I feel like we’ve – one-score
games, we’ve been in every football game. Every coach would tell you that it’s about us.
You’ve just got to focus on getting better each week. We’ve done that. The guys have really, I
think, embraced a little bit of – I guess it’s ownership and responsibility, obviously. And they
know. They know. We made the corrections last week. We’ve got to continue to improve.”
(On if they were able to have a normal schedule on Wednesday and Thursday in
Jacksonville) “We did. We were able to get through everything normally for those two days.”
(On how CB Tyson Campbell has been progressing) “Tyson’s doing good. We opened up his
window this week. He was able to work on the look teams this week in practice. We’ll see
where he’s at next week.”
(On what he’s learned from last year’s experience playing twconsecutive games in London)
“One of the big things is we don’t have to move. We get to stay right here at the Grove,
which is a beautiful place. It’s our home away from home, as we say. I just think we know
going into the season that we’re going to spend time here. Our owner [Shad Khan] spends a
lot of time here in London and the UK. A lot of fans here, Jacksonville fans and a lot of NFL
fans. We understand that we’re going to spend these 10-11 days over here. It’s a great
opportunity for our team, for our players, for our fans over here to see that we’re going to
come over here and make that commitment every year.”
(On if he would be open to playing more games in London during EverBank Stadium’s
renovation) “I think that’s something that obviously in the next couple of years with our
stadium renovation, it’s probably going to be something that’s going to be in the
conversation, at least. We may have to play three games or something over here, which
would be OK. Just to stay in one spot has been good, but I know those conversations are
coming.”
(On getting pressure on Bears QB Caleb Williams) “It’s surprising, but at the same time
that’s one of the things you appreciate about Caleb is his athleticism. He’s escaped a lot of
pressures as well. He’s been able to convert some needy third downs with his legs and
outside the pocket, the ability to throw the ball. It’s kind of twofold. If you get a chance to
sack him, obviously you’ve got to get him on the ground. When you’re outside the pocket,
you’ve got to make sure you cover downfield. It’s a challenge for our front and we’ve got to
stay disciplined.”

rest of our games. Obviously, you can’t look ahead but just looking at where we’re at, just
being honest. So, we understand where we’re at as a team and I think the best way to do
that though is to focus one week at a time. We’d love to come away from London 2-0 here,
but first we’ve got to put our best foot forward so we can beat Chicago. That’s the plan on
Sunday and beyond that you can’t worry until that time gets here. I think just keeping
ourselves in the moment and not trying to chase all these wins, just going one week at a
time is how you get there.”
(On what kind of a boost having TE Evan Engram back would bring to the offense) “It’d be
great. Yeah, it will be really good to get him back out there. We have some great chemistry,
played with him going on three years now. So, just to get him back out there will be
awesome. I think just the element he brings, run game, pass game, getting the ball in his
hands, letting him work in space, he’s just a great dynamic player that changes the game.
Having him back is only going to help us. The other guys have done a great job stepping up
while he was out but definitely will be good to get him back hopefully this week.”
(On if he has his usual spots in London or if he is trying to discover new things) “Trying to do
new stuff. When we do have some time to go there and explore a little bit, there’s so much
to do, there’s so many great restaurants. So try to change it up a little bit. Haven’t got a
chance to do anything yet, just got in but maybe next week we’ll get a little bit of time. But
yeah, I like to change it up and try to see everything. Obviously I’ve seen a lot of the staples
but as far as food goes I love just trying new restaurants here because there’s some great
food.”
(On EverBank becoming TrevorBank for the home opener) “Yeah, I think it was a good
spinoff and play on words for the game. Definitely disappointed in the result. That was
unfortunate we weren’t able to win that game. But it’s cool to be able to do things like that
in Jacksonville, city that means a lot to us. The team I got drafted to and it’s changed over
the past couple of years and it’s exciting. I love the trajectory where we’re headed but the
biggest thing to go get there is to keep winning games. We need to do a little bit more of that
so I’m excited for that challenge. We’ve just got to perform on the field and I think
everything takes care of itself.”
(On why the team has been successful in London) “Yeah, I think it’s different every year.
You’ve got to prove it every year and I know Chicago is a good team coming in here. I’m sure
they have a great plan and they’re ready to roll for Sunday too. You have to really attack it
every year the same way and not take anything for granted, but I just think being over here,
having our schedule down, understanding kind of the travel deal and how you’re going to
feel when you land, a little sluggish and I think we’ve just ironed out some of the possible
issues just from being over here so much. So maybe that’s part of it. I think we’ve just
embraced it too at this point, like we kind of enjoy the change of scenery and just being
able to have an opportunity. This is a pretty unique opportunity to get to play football games
over here. I mean not that many people get to do it. So, it’s pretty cool when we’ve
embraced it and we enjoy it and this place is beautiful. Love staying here at the Grove, so
there’s a lot of pluses to it and but at the end of the day, we’re here to win some games. We
keep that in the forefront and most important thing.”
(On how the team avoids a sluggish start to the game on Sunday) “Just go out there and
play. None of that matters once you step foot on the field on Sunday, you just have got go
play. That was the travel arrangements that we chose, that’s kind of how we’ve always done
it, and we have trust and faith in our process and how we do it. Obviously every team does
it a little bit different. But there’s no excuses come Sunday, so we’ve got to put a good
product out there and go out there and play well.
(On the pressure of being a number one overall draft pick and how he’s seen Bears QB
Caleb Williams handle it) “He looks great, obviously it’s never going to be perfect. There’s
always going to be some ups and downs. I thought he’s done a nice job. He’s carried
himself well. Seems like he’s leading the team really well and they’re in a good spot. They
have a really good team – offense, defense, all the way around. So, I think he’s doing a good
job. It’s just about learning every week. You’re going to learn something new. That’s what
this game is about in general, not just as a rookie, but just learning every week, taking it in
stride, not losing your confidence, which seems like he has a lot of. So, I think he’s done a
nice job. It’s a long year and obviously I’ve kept track of his career, and rooting for him – not
on Sunday necessarily but past that, you know, as NFC guy and rooting for him to have
success besides on Sunday.
(On which country he would most like the NFL International Series to expand to) “It would
be cool to go to Italy. That’d be a fun one.”
(On leaning into his previous experiences in his fourth year) “I’ve gotten obviously my
routine. I’ve gotten, kind of, things dialed in over the few years I’ve had. But every season is
a new journey, new experiences, you have a new team. There’s a lot of different things that
change. So, I think it’s kind of both, to be honest. I feel more comfortable and it’s nice. This
is my third year in this offense, which feels good. That’s an area that is good to have some
carryover and you know the offense, you know the system, feels like you can play faster as
a quarterback. But then again, you change players every year and a lot of things change so
it’s all just like the ebbs and flows of the season and settling in and for our team where
we’re at now and this is kind of the time to do that, and we felt we got a good start last week
and we just want to keep that going. But yeah, feel pretty comfortable going on my fourth
year.
(On what he’s seen from the offensive line) “They’ve done a great job. I mean, last week I
didn’t even get hit besides on a couple QB sneaks. So, not being touched and you throw the
ball that that much in a game – it’s pretty rare. So, I’m proud of that group up front. They’ve
worked really hard and that’s just – it’s a thankless position. Those guys don’t get much
love, so it’s been cool to see, to get the questions about them and to be able to talk about
them and for everybody to love them up a little bit because the stuff that they do, not a lot
of people would want to do that, you know. The dirty work and physical, you’re on the
ground almost every play, and you don’t really get any attention unless you do something
wrong. So, you know for those guys, I’m appreciative of them and I know the sacrifices they
make, and they’ve done a heck of a job preparing every week. The last two weeks, they’ve
done a great job, but I think the whole season they’ve really protected well and done some
things some really good things. So, we’ve just got to keep building off of it. We’ve got to do it
every week and those guys know the challenge in front of them, and excited to do it again.”
JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have elevated LB Tanner Muse to the active roster from the practice squad for tomorrow’s game via standard elevation, the team announced today.
Muse was drafted by Las Vegas in the third round (100th overall) of the 2020 Draft. After his rookie season with the Raiders (2020), Muse played in 33 games across three seasons with Seattle (2021-22) while on the team’s practice squad and the Los Angeles Chargers’ active roster (2023). Muse joined the Jaguars in 2024 as an unrestricted free agent, signing with the team’s practice squad in August. Prior to the NFL, the Belmont, N.C., native played four seasons at Clemson. In 59 career games, he recorded 237 tackles (10.5 for loss), 15 passes defensed, 4.0 sacks, seven interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery that was returned for a 63-yard touchdown. Muse was a standard elevation for Week 4’s game at Houston and Week 5’s game vs. Indianapolis, seeing action on special teams.
