Jaguars Make Roster Moves (8-3-24)

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed RB Gary Brightwell and TE Chris Myarick, the team announced today. Additionally, RB Lorenzo Lingard has been waived and TE Josh Pederson has been waived/injured. If Pederson clears waivers, he will revert to the Jaguars’ injured reserve list.

Brightwell was drafted by the New York Giants in the sixth round (196th overall) of the 2021 Draft. He appeared in 37 games in his three seasons with the Giants (2021-23). His career totals include 41 rushes for 164 yards (4.0 average), one rushing touchdown and 11 receptions for 92 yards (8.4 average). He also returned 26 kickoffs for 555 yards (21.3 average). The Chester, Pa., native attended the University of Arizona for four seasons (2017-20). He was named an All-Pac-12 honorable mention as a senior.

Myarick was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by Miami in 2019. He spent the first two seasons of his career (2019-20) on the Dolphins’ practice squad before joining the New York Giants (2021-23). In 27 career games (11 starts), Myarick has totaled 10 receptions for 82 yards and three touchdowns. He also added six tackles (four solo) on special teams. A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Myarick was a four-year letterman (2015-18) at Temple.
