JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed WR Marqise Lee(shoulder) on the team’s reserve/injured list and promoted undrafted rookie CB Tae Hayes to the active roster, the club announced today. The Jaguars also signed LB Keishawn Bierria to the practice squad and released LB Sutton Smithfrom the practice squad.
Hayes, 5-9, 188, spent the first eight weeks of the season on the Jaguars’ practice squad before being promoted to the active roster. In the preseason, he posted 11 tackles and four passes defensed, including one INT. Hayes was a four-year letterman at Appalachian State and appeared in 44 games, totaling 97 tackles, 24 passes defensed, nine INTs, eight tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. Hayes, a native of Decatur, Ala., will wear No. 30 for the Jaguars.
Bierria, 6-1, 233, has appeared in 20 career NFL games, all with the Broncos (2018-19) and has posted five tackles. He was originally a sixth-round draft selection by Denver in the 2018 NFL Draft and was waived by the team on Oct. 1, 2019. Bierria will wear No. 45.
