JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed RB Matt Colburn, the club announced today. Additionally, the team waived/injured RB Nathan Cottrell.
Colburn was originally signed as a rookie free agent in 2019 by the Los Angeles Rams and has spent time with the XFL’s New York Guardians, the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts and most recently, the USFL’s Philadelphia Stars in 2022. He played in four games for the Stars and rushed 102 times for 457 yards and eight TDs.
Colburn played collegiately at Wake Forest and finished sixth in school history with 2,528 rushing yards. He attended Dutch Fork (Irmo, S.C.) High School and rushed 172 times for 1,705 yards and 24 TDs as a senior.
