Entry List (Click Here) DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The lone IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship sprint race featuring all four classes kicks off the stretch run to the finish of the final four race weekends of 2025. The freshly renamed Motul SportsCar Grand Prix at Road America marks the last time, for now, this race runs at the standard length two-hour, 40-minute duration before increasing to six hours in 2026. The combination of four championship battles all under 100 points, intense racing, fun family atmosphere and great food and beverage options highlight the annual trip to the track frequently known as “America’s National Park of Speed.” A total of 49 cars spread across the WeatherTech Championship’s four classes will be in action, split among 11 Grand Touring Prototype (GTP), 14 Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2), 10 Grand Touring Daytona Pro (GTD PRO) and 14 Grand Touring Daytona (GTD) entries. There are a handful of changes throughout the grid, mostly in LMP2 with several drivers and one team (Af Corse) returning after missing the Chevrolet Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Connor De Phillippi also makes his first LMP2 start standing in for Tom Dillmann at Inter Europol Competition as he recovers from an incident at CTMP. Team Tonis also makes its series debut with Tonis Kasemets and Matt Brabham in their No. 61 ORECA LMP2 07. In GTD, Kenton Koch and Onofrio Triarsi continue aboard the No. 021 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3 while Mike Skeen and Daniel Morad will share the No. 32 Korthoff Competition Motors Mercedes-AMG GT3. LMP2 Closed Up: With its win at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, AO Racing’s No. 99 ORECA LMP2 07 closed to within 78 points of the No. 22 United Autosports USA ORECA in LMP2. Who’s Good Here?Campbell and Cameron: One past and one present Porsche Penske Motorsport GTP driver both have three wins apiece at Road America. Dane Cameron, now in the No. 99 AO Racing ORECA, had his three wins in three consecutive years (2014-2016). Matt Campbell, now in the No. 6 Porsche 963 in GTP, won in three straight odd years (2019, 2021, 2023) in three different classes (GTD, GTLM, GTP).Porsche Penske Motorsport: The team has won both GTP races at Road America since the class’ 2023 introduction, albeit with two different lineups: Campbell and Felipe Nasr in 2023 and Mathieu Jaminet and Nick Tandy in 2024. Who’s Hot? Top-Four Mavens, No. 6 Penske Porsche and No. 3 Corvette: Six straight top-four finishes in GTP have propelled the No. 6 Porsche 963 to the top of these standings. Similarly, five top-four finishes in six GTD PRO races have done the same for the No. 3 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R in that class. No. 12 Vasser Sullivan Lexus: The elusive first win of the year remains the target for this car, which still has four podiums from the last five races. The only non-podium in the last five was their near-miss at Watkins Glen by one lap on fuel when leading.
