INDIANAPOLIS – The Horizon League announced its upcoming 2019-20 men’s basketball conference schedule on Tuesday. The slate consists of 90 games as each team will play an 18-game double round-robin schedule.
The League schedule begins on Dec. 28 and runs for 10 weeks until concluding on Feb. 29. All 10 teams will be in action on opening day with 2019 tournament champions Northern Kentucky opening up at home against Milwaukee, while last year’s co-regular season champions Wright State start the League season hosting Green Bay. Other opening night action includes Oakland hosting Metro Series-rival Detroit Mercy, UIC welcoming Cleveland State and Youngstown State traveling to IUPUI.
Every Horizon League men’s basketball game will be available on ESPN’s family of networks. Full television information and start times will be announced at a later date.
Continuing a partnership that began during the 2014-15 season, ESPN+ and ESPN3 will be the home for the League’s live streaming game content.
All eligible teams will compete in this year’s Horizon League Basketball Championships and eight teams – four men and four women – will look to advance to Indianapolis and #ReachTheHorizon March 9-10 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum located at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center.
