Hall, Pavinelli Named to NCAA All-Tournament Team

They were two of 12 players named to the team during Championship Weekend.

CARY, N.C. – Maggi Hall and Danielle Pavinelli were recognized for their play this tournament and weekend, as the two of them represented Florida lacrosse on the NCAA Division l Women’s Lacrosse Championship All-Tournament Team. The news was announced following the Championship game today.

Hall scored a team high five goals on Friday against Northwestern, going a perfect 3/3 on free position opportunities. The senior totaled 16 goals, four assists and five ground balls on a .666 shot percentage in four tournament games. Her 16 goals and 20 points are individual NCAA tournament total records at the University of Florida. The Bel Air, Md. native totaled two or more goals in all four games, including three hat-tricks and tying a career high six goals in the quarterfinals against Maryland. The attacker has 27 career hat-tricks, and finishes her stint in Gainesville on a 42-game point streak. She ranks first all-time in assists (127), fifth all-time in points (292) and seventh all-time in goals (165), while breaking the program record for points in a season (119).

Pavinelli totaled three goals and two assists in the semifinals, tying a team high in points with five. The captain recorded 10 goals, eight assists, three caused turnovers and a ground ball on a .714 shot percentage in four tournament games. The native of Northport, N.Y., mounted four or more points in every game this tournament, putting up two hat-tricks and two five-point outings. The senior recorded her 200th career goal on May 12 against Virginia, and her 300th career point on May 24 against Northwestern. Pavinelli concludes her career with 33 hat-tricks, ranking third all-time in both points (302) and assists (95), while ranking fourth in goals (207) at Florida. She ended her season on a 22-game point streak.
