Indianapolis – For the first time since 2014-15, the Lynn University men’s basketball team has earned a bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament. The Fighting Knights were selected as the third seed in the South Region.

This marks the second time since 2004-05 that the Blue and White have reached the regional tournament and sixth time since joining the NCAA in 1996-97.

“Being in the tournament is an incredible honor for the program and for these guys who deserve it and have worked so hard,” head coach Jeff Price said.

As the No. 3 seed, the Fighting Knights will first square off against No. 6 University of Alabama in Huntsville, who just finished as runners-up in the Gulf South Conference Tournament.

Nova Southeastern earned the No. 1 seed and will host the South Region portion of the tournament from March 16-19.

The time for Lynn’s matchup vs. UAH in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., this Saturday, March 16, is still to-be-announced.
