Gators Place 111 on SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida placed 111 student-athletes on the 2024 Southeastern Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, announced today by league commissioner Greg Sankey.

The 2024 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2023-24 summer, fall and spring terms. Florida placed 312 student-athletes on 2023-24 SEC Fall (137), Winter (64 ) and Spring Academic Honor Rolls.

Florida’s NCAA champion men’s track & field and NCAA semifinal lacrosse teams each placed 26 on the SEC Academic Honor Roll. That total equals men’s track & field’s record for the second consecutive year and for the third time since 2018.

Six from UF’s Women’s College World Series semifinal team earned spots on the SEC Academic Honor Roll. The NCAA Indoor & Outdoor runner-up women’s track & field team placed 19 on the Academic Honor Roll. Florida’s College World Series baseball team saw 13 earning a spot on the team.

Other sport honoree numbers included men’s golf (8), women’s golf (5), men’s tennis (2) and women’s tennis (6).

To be recognized to the SEC Academic Honor Roll, each student-athlete must 1) have a GPA of 3.00 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship, a letterwinner or have participated on a varsity team for two years if non-scholarship; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport’s entire NCAA Championship segment.
