GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida begins the upcoming season No. 3 in the 2025 Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) preseason poll.
Oklahoma leads the preseason poll, followed defending NCAA champion LSU and Florida. Rounding out the top five are No. 4 California and No. 5 Utah.
The nation’s preseason top five has included the Gators every season since 2007 (2007: 3rd; 2008: 2nd; 2009: 3rd; 2010: 4th; 2011: 3rd; 2012: 3rd, 2013: 3rd; 2014: 1st, 2015: 1st, 2016: 2nd, 2017: 5th; 2018: 2nd; 2019: 3rd, 2020: 3rd; 2021: 1st; 2022: 2nd; 2023: 2nd; 2024: 2nd; 2025: 3rd).
“The Gators look forward to getting the 2025 season started,” Florida Head Gymnastics Coach Jenny Rowland said. “The energy in the packed arenas really fuels this team. We’re excited for the challenges ahead and are committed to improving every day as we aim for our goals this season. We can’t wait for January to get here!”
Each of Florida’s five home meets include at least one preseason top-25 opponents. The 2025 season starts Jan. 10 with a quad meet that includes No. 11 Michigan State, No. 23 Nebraska and Northern Illinois. The Stephen C. O’Connell Center is the site for four top-20 duals.

* Feb. 14 vs. No. 17 Auburn
* Feb. 28 vs. No. 9 Missouri
* March 14 vs. No. 7 Kentucky
Florida’s road schedule includes four dates at preseason top-10 teams:

Gators Hype Night is Monday, Dec. 16
Fans can get their first look at the Gators’ 2025 routines next Monday at the team’s annual Hype Night<https://floridagators.com/news/2024/11/6/gators-gymnastics-hype-night-is-december-16.aspx>.
The Gators will show full or partials routines on each apparatus, which will be evaluated by guest judges.
When: Monday, Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m.

The Gators sold out 19 of their last 22 regular-season meets. Florida reset its season attendance record in five of the last seven seasons, with the current record of 9,351 per meet achieved in 2023.
