11/26/2024 | Football BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic football will play its final game of the 2024 season this Saturday, Nov. 30 when the Owls travel to Oklahoma to face Tulsa. The game, airing on ESPN+ will kick off at 3:30 p.m. EST Redshirt junior RB CJ Campbell and freshman S CJ Heard are leading the Owls. Offensively, Campbell leads FAU with 150 rushing attempts for 744 rushing yards. The redshirt junior has 11 rushing touchdowns, which is fifth all-time at FAU for a single season, tying former Owl and NFL veteran Alfred Morris. Showing his versatility, Campbell is second on the team with 36 catches for a total of 348 yards and has two receiving touchdowns, giving him 14 on the year. According to ‘Stathead,’ Campbell is the only player in the country that has four games with a minimum of 50 rushing yards and 50 receiving yards. Defensively, Heard leads the Owls with 78 tackles, including a tackle assist for a yard loss. The freshman has had three games with double-digit tackles, which is team-leading, and his career high is 13 versus in-state foe USF. He is also tied for No. 8 nationally in fumbles recovered Also of Note: Phillip Dunnam is No. 5 nationally in interception return yards with 141.
