TALLAHASSEE – The ACC announced each program’s conference openers Friday as part of its 2025 football schedule reveal. Florida State will visit Virginia on Friday, September 26 and host Miami on Saturday, October 4 at Doak Campbell Stadium.
Florida State is 15-4 all-time against Virginia, with a 6-3 record at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville. The teams last met in 2019, also in Charlottesville. After meeting in each of Florida State’s first 15 seasons in the ACC, this season’s matchup will be the fifth contest between the teams since 2010.
The Seminoles and Hurricanes have met each season since 1969, with FSU holding a 29-28 advantage in that span. Since Miami joined the ACC in 2004, FSU leads the series 13-8 and is 6-5 in Tallahassee.
Florida State’s full 2025 football schedule will be revealed Monday night at 9 p.m. on ACC Network and ESPN2.

August 30 vs. Alabama – Tallahassee
September 6 vs. East Texas A&M – Tallahassee
September 20 vs. Kent State – Tallahassee
September 26 at Virginia – Charlottesville
October 4 vs. Miami – Tallahassee
