DALLAS – The fourth edition of the C-USA Roundtable series will air 6 p.m. CT Wednesday on the conference’s social media networks. The upcoming episode will shift its usual conversation from current events related to the COVID-19 pandemic to the effects of recent protests against racial injustice following the death of Minneapolis resident George Floyd, and methods for promoting and creating change.
Led by veteran C-USA host Ron Thulin, the panel features Charlotte football head coach Will Healy, UTEP men’s basketball coach Rodney Terry, UTSA Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Lisa Campos and Mufu Taiwo, recently graduated Old Dominion football student-athlete and former C-USA SAAC Vice Chair. C-USA Senior Associate Commissioner Merton Hanks will also represent the conference in the discussion.
Each speaker will share their personal experiences regarding the current social movement and how it relates to college athletics. The panel guests also discuss the importance of responsible education and promotion of equity and inclusion within their respective communities. The segment supports Conference USA’s commitment to fostering accountability and providing resources needed to ignite change among its membership.
