The City of Fort Lauderdale will hold a Fourth of July Spectacular. Events for the whole family begin on Fort Lauderdale Beach at noon. The Beach Boys will perform a free concert starting at 7:30 p.m. And a fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m.
“This weekend on our nation’s Independence Day, we celebrate our freedom. This Fourth of July is made even more special by the fact that, once again, we are able to celebrate it together. The challenges we have faced in the last 1½ years have caused many of us to pause and reflect on what is truly important: family, faith, community, equality and peace. Let this be a time of coming back together and celebrating all that we hold dear,” said Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis.
“Any celebration of our country’s independence would not be possible without the brave men and women in uniform who continue to make our freedom possible. To them and to their families, we say a heartfelt thank you for their service and sacrifice,” said Trantalis.
