GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida volleyball team has climbed to No. 11 in the AVCA/TARAFLEX Week 2 Division I Top-25 Poll, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Monday afternoon.
The Gators are currently on a four-match win streak, starting the month of September with back-to-back road wins against USF (Sept. 2) and Ohio State (Sept. 7).
Florida’s remaining schedule features seven opponents ranked in the top-25, including the Gators SEC-ACC matchup against now ranked No. 25 North Carolina. UF’s remaining slate includes No. 2 Texas and No. 3 Kentucky, along with top-10 showdowns against No. 6 Wisconsin and No. 8 Texas A&M. The Gators will also meet two additional top-20 programs in No. 20 Baylor and No. 23 Missouri.
Florida sits 1-1 against ranked opponents through week two, with its victory over Pitt, now ranked No. 7, and a four-set loss against No. 5 Stanford.
