SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager Bill Zito announced today that the club has re-signed forward Mason Marchment to a one-year, two-way contract.
Marchment, 25, appeared in four regular season games with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2019-20, recording one assist. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound native of Uxbridge, Ontario, also produced 20 points (13-7-20) over 30 American Hockey League (AHL) games between the Toronto Marlies and the Springfield Thunderbirds.
Undrafted, he has played in 130 career AHL regular season games registering 72 points (38-34-72). Marchment won the Calder Cup with the Marlies in 2017-18, notching nine points (6-3-9) in 20 playoff games. He appeared in 35 games with the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL in 2016-17, posting 20 points (14-6-20).
Marchment was acquired from Toronto in exchange for forward Denis Malgin on February 19, 2020.
