TONIGHT’S CITY FURNITURE MILITARY HERO: Scott Tinkler
Tonight’s Hero Among Us is US Marine Corps veteran, Scott Tinkler. Scott served a total of four years in the US Marine Corps which included deployments to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Desert Storm. In his post military career, Scott served as the Florida Panthers Equipment Manager during the team’s 1996 run to the Stanley Cup Finals.

COMEBACK CATS
The Cats overcame a 5-1 deficit to win in overtime April 5 vs. TOR, marking their second four-goal comeback victory in the past four days (7-6 W [OT] at
NJD on April 2). The Panthers are the only team in NHL history to record multiple four goal comebacks in multiple seasons. Only the 1983-84 Oilers
have done so in one season. The Cats also recorded multiple four-goal comebacks in 2019-20 (Nov. 12 at BOS, Nov. 21 vs. ANA). Florida has 24 total
comeback wins this season, the second-most among NHL teams.
RECORD BREAKERS
With their win vs. TOR, the Panthers increased their points total this season to 104 (49-15-6), surpassing their prior franchise record of 103 from 2015-

Over 18 games since Feb. 26, the Panthers have converted on 21 of 65 power-play opportunities (32.3%), the third-best mark among teams over that
span. Florida has scored multiple PPGs in six of those 18 games. Florida’s 54 total PPGs this season is tied for third-most among NHL teams.
POWER KILL
Radko Gudas tallied his first career shorthanded goal April 5 vs. TOR. The goal marked Florida’s 11th SHG this season, tied with the 1995-96 Panthers
for the second-most in franchise history (12, 1997-98). Only TOR (13) have more in 2021-22.
PLAYOFF BOUND
With their 5-3 win April 3 at BUF, the Panthers became the first team this season to clinch a playoff spot, marking the first time in franchise history
Florida earned the first playoff berth. Florida will play in the postseason for a third consecutive season, also a franchise first, and for the eighth time since
their inaugural season.
CATS AND SABRES
Tonight, the Panthers and Sabres face off for the fourth and final time this season. The Cats have outscored Buffalo 18-8, averaging six goals per game.

HUBER EATS
Jonathan Huberdeau matched his career high with five points (2-3-5) April 5 vs. TOR, including his 4th career overtime goal. He has recorded five
points in a game three times in 2021-22; no other NHL skater has done so more than once this season. Huberdeau’s third point in the game, a
PPG marking his 25th tally of the season, represented his 100th point of the campaign. He is the first Panthers skater to reach the mark in club history.
His OT-GWG marked his 600th NHL point. He is the first Panthers skater to reach the mark and the first player from the 2011 draft to amass 600 points.
Huberdeau has produced at least a point in each of his last nine games (7-11-18), marking his second point streak of at least nine games this season.
His 76 assists lead all NHL skaters and are the most by a LW in NHL history. He is Florida’s franchise leader in games played (661), assists (406) and
points (600).
BARKOV COUNTY
Panthers Captain Aleksander Barkov logged a season-high four points (1-3-4) April 5 vs. TOR. He has produced a point in his past five games (6-6-
12), his sixth point streak of at least five games in 2021-22. He has produced multiple points in each of his past five contests; only Huberdeau (6GP in
2018-19) and Pavel Bure (7GP in 2000-01) have recorded longer multi-point streaks in club history. Barkov leads FLA with 34 goals (34-42-76), one shy
of his career high from 2018-19. His 76 points rank second on the team. He was named the NHL’s Third Star for the week ending April 3 after posting
four straight 2-point performances totaling eight points (5-3-8). Barkov’s four shorthanded tallies in 2021-22 are tied for the league lead. His 37 career
game-winning goals are the most in franchise history.
G-UNIT
Claude Giroux scored his first goal as a Panther and added an assist (1-1-2) April 5 vs. TOR, his fourth multi-point game since joining the Panthers. He
has amassed nine points (1-8-9) over his first eight games with the Cats, as well as a 56.0 faceoff win rate.
CLEAR EYES, FULL ‘HART
Sam Reinhart produced three points (2-1-3) April 5 vs, TOR, his sixth game this season with at least three points. Both of Reinhart’s tallies came on the
power-play, the second time this season he has registered two PPGs in one game. His 26 goals and 68 points (26-42-68) are both career highs, and he
is one assist shy of his career mark from 2018-19. Reinhart paces FLA with 12 PPGs.
BENNY AND THE CATS
Sam Bennett notched his 100th NHL assist April 5 vs. TOR. He has produced seven points (1-6-7) over his past six games. Currently sitting at 199
career points (99-100-199), Bennett’s 44 points (26-18-44) and 26 goals this season are career highs, while his 18 assists are tied with his career mark
from 2015-16. 21 of his goals have come at even strength, tied for the most on FLA. He leads Florida with 201 shots on goal in 2021-22, and paces the
club with six game-winning goals this season.
THE DUKE OF SOUTH FLORIDA
Anthony Duclair tallied two goals April 3 at BUF, and he has produced three points (2-1-3) over his past two games. His career-high 28 goals this
season rank second on FLA, while his 52 points (28-24-52) are also a career high. Duclair is one assist away from setting a new career mark. 20 of
Duclair’s goals have come at even strength, the third-most on FLA.
LUN DMC
Anton Lundell has produced a point in each of his past two games (1-1-2). He scored his 15th goal of the season April 3 at BUF. His 15 tallies are the
sixth-most by a rookie in franchise history, while his 40 points (15-25-40) are the fourth-most by a Panthers rookie.
RETURN OF THE MACK
MacKenzie Weegar notched two assists April 5 vs. TOR, and has posted multiple points over his last two outings (1-3-4). Weegar’s 33 assists and 40
points (7-33-40) are both career highs, while his seven goals are tied with his career mark from last season. The Ottawa, Ontario native ranks third
among NHL skaters with 68 takeaways.
AGENT CARTER
Carter Verhaeghe notched his 100th NHL point April 3 at BUF, an assist on Anthony Duclair’s second tally. Verhaeghe’s 21 goals, 30 assists and 51
points this season are all career highs. All 21 of his goals have come at even strength, tied for the most on the Panthers in 2021-22. He ranks tied for
second on FLA with 48 even-strength points (21-27-48) this season.
STONE MASON
Mason Marchment has registered four points (1-3-4) over his past five games. He scored his 15th goal of the season March 29 vs. MTL. The Uxbridge,
Ontario native has produced 40 points (15-25-40) over 45 games in 2021-22.
YOU’RE ON THE CASE, BOBROVSKY
Sergei Bobrovsky posted his 3rd shutout of the season March 31 vs. CHI, stopping all 37 shots he faced. He has earned a win in each of his past
seven decisions. Only Roberto Luongo (9-game win streak from Dec. 15, 2015-Jan. 7, 2016) has had a longer win streak in club history. Bobrovsky (33-
6-3) is two wins away from matching Luongo’s club record for wins in a season (35 in 2005-06 and 2015-16). With 21 wins (21-3-0) on home ice in 2021-
22, Bobrovsky is two wins shy of Luongo’s franchise single-season home wins record of 23 from 2005-06.
OH WHAT A KNIGHT
Spencer Knight has earned wins in each of his past three appearances. He stopped 19 of the 21 shots he faced in relief to earn the win April 5 at TOR.
The Darien, Conn. native registered his first NHL shutout March 18 at ANA, stopping all 17 Ducks shots, becoming the youngest goaltender to record a
shutout in club history.
