SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers announced they have partnered with Broward Health to support a COVID-19 vaccination PSA.
“The Panthers have been active in communicating COVID-19 safety messages over these past few months and look forward to working with Broward Health to encourage the South Florida community to get vaccinated and stay safe as we continue to combat this pandemic,” said Chief Commercial Officer Shawn Thornton. “With the COVID-19 vaccinations available to those 16 and older in Florida, we just want to show our community how important this step is towards the recovery of our economy and county.”
The Panthers have been at the forefront of safety since the COVID-19 pandemic began becoming the first NHL arena to achieve the WELL Health-Safety Rating in December 2020. The WELL Health-Safety Rating is an evidence-based, third-party verified rating for all new and existing building and space types focusing on operational policies, maintenance protocols, stakeholder engagement and emergency plans to address a post-COVID-19 environment now and into the future. The club continues to monitor guidance from the IWBI (International WELL Building Institute), World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), global disease control and prevention centers and emergency management agencies.
Through this partnership, Broward Health has offered COVID-19 vaccinations to all full and part-time employees at BB&T Center and Florida Panthers to ensure their safety and comfortability.
