Florida Football Signs 22 on National Signing Day
Florida is one of two schools to sign two top-10 players and only one with two in the top-6 per the 247Sports rankings.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida head football coach Billy Napier announced the addition of 22 Gators during the early period of National Signing Day on Wednesday.
“I think when you get to a day like today, realization is it takes a team of people,” said Napier. “I think we’re very fortunate at the University of Florida that we have a great team. Can’t thank the administration enough relative to what they’ve done here the last two years to improve the process, to improve the experience of the player, and to give us the opportunity to compete and sign the very best players in the country, and we did that today.”
The group consists of 17 players from the high school level and five transfers. Known as the #2THESW4MP the class is made up of 10 defensive players and 12 on the offensive side of the ball.
ESPN also tabbed the class No. 13 overall. Florida was one of two schools to sign two top-10 players and only one with two in the top-6 per the 247Sports Rankings.
