Florida Atlantic’s Claudel, SMU’s Dallmann Named College Sports Communicators Academic All-America

IRVING, Texas – Two American Athletic Conference men’s soccer players were named to the 2023 Academic All-American teams as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced Tuesday.

SMU’s graduate forward Jelldrik Dallmann was selected to the First Team, while Florida Atlantic’s graduate forward Victor Claudel was named to the Third Team.

Dallmann concluded his season tied in leading The American and seventh nationally in goals scored with 14, in addition to logging five assists. Dallmann was a unanimous First Team all-conference selection and United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-American. Dallmann holds a 4.00 cumulative GPA while majoring in finance.

Claudel started 17 games for the Owls and led the team with 17 points on the season off six goals scored and five assists dished out.  Claudel had one game-winning goal for the Owls in the 2-1 win over UAB on October 8. He holds a cumulative GPA of 3.87 while majoring in finance.

The Division I team boasted a 3.88 average GPA.
