| 11/25/2024 | Football BOCA RATON, Fla. – Interim Hagerty Family Head Football Coach Chad Lunsford will meet with the media on Tuesday, Nov. 26, in the FAU Stadium Interview Room. The press conference will be streamed live on ESPN+ at 12:15 p.m., featuring Lunsford, redshirt freshman running back Gemari Sands, and junior safety Phillip Dunnam. The trio will take questions about last Saturday’s game versus Charlotte and will preview Florida Atlantic football’s final contest of the 2024 season, which is at Tulsa on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 3:30 p.m. EST. Sands has emerged as a complementary back and is active in the Owls’ special teams efforts. On the season, he has played in 10 games, tallied 26 carries for a total of 91 yards and has found the end zone once. Sands also averages 18 yards per catch with two under his collegiate belt. Defensively, Dunnam has electrified the stands with a team-leading three interceptions and a forced fumble and is third on the team with 56 tackles.
