| 5/22/2024 | FootballBOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic Owls will celebrate Family Weekend on Saturday, Sept. 28 versus Wagner and welcomes the return of alumni for the 2024 Homecoming Weekend on Friday, Nov. 1 when FAU plays host to in-state and American Athletic Conference foe South Florida. This year’s event will mark the program’s 24th Homecoming celebration, the fourth in which the Owls face off versus an in-state opponent. The program’s first Homecoming was versus Jacksonville on October 13, 2001, a game that FAU captured 35-12. The Owls have twice played host to FIU on Homecoming, defeating the Panthers 21-9 in 2010 and 31-17 in 2015. Stay tuned for more information regarding both Family Weekend and Homecoming Week, with Homecoming featuring an alumni “Tailgate in Paradise” at the Marleen and Harold Forkas Alumni Center. Game times for Florida Atlantic’s 2024 football season, along with the complete marketing and promotional schedule, will be announced at a later date.
