BOCA RATON, Fla. – Entering the 2025 season, Logan Lupo of the Florida Atlantic football team has been named to the Ray Guy Award Preseason Watch List, for the award given annually to the nation’s best punter. He is one of 15 players currently on the list.
Lupo, a redshirt senior, is fourth all-time in average yards per punt (44.22) in program history as he enters his fifth season with the Owls.
In 2024, Lupo was added to the Watch List following the opening game against Michigan State and was on the Ray Eight list after Week 2 after a 48.2 yard average with a season-long of 58.
He ended his most recent campaign with 2092 net yards, third in the American Conference, with 15 going over 50 yards and 14 landing inside the 20-yard line.
ABOUT THE RAY GUY AWARD
The Augusta Sports Council created the Ray Guy Award in 2000 to honor Thomson, Georgia native and College and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Ray Guy. Among the statistics used to identify the winner are net punting average, percentage of punts inside the 20-yard line, and percentage of punts not returned, with particular emphasis placed on net average. The winner must display team leadership, self-discipline, and have a positive impact on the team’s success.
