BOCA RATON, Fla. — Flagler Credit Union and Florida Atlantic Athletics have announced a Touchdowns for Charity initiative to help support our local Boca Raton community. For every touchdown scored by the Owls this season, Flagler Credit Union will donate $200 towards the Power of Sports, a local charity established to help overcome financial barriers to make sport more accessible.
With locations throughout the community FAU represents, Flagler Credit Union has branches in Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, North Palm Beach, and Lake Clarke Shores. Membership is open to residents of Palm Beach, Martin, Hendry and Broward counties in Florida.
Florida Atlantic and Flagler Credit Union signed a 15-year football stadium naming partnership in December to rename the Owls’ on-campus football stadium as Flagler Credit Union Stadium. FAU opens the season Saturday on the road at Maryland and plays its first game at Flagler Credit Union Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 6 versus Florida A&M at 6 p.m.
The Power of Sports is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to eliminating financial barriers by covering registration fees, equipment costs, and other essential needs. The Power of Sports believes every child deserves the opportunity to participate, fostering lifelong health and personal achievement.
