BOCA RATON, Fla. – Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season is in the books with seven former Florida Atlantic Owls seeing action. Here’s a rundown of how each performed during the second week (All gametimes listed below are Eastern):

#0 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | Houston Texans
– For the second straight week, Al-Shaair recorded a double-digit tackle outing, leading Houston in the 34-7 defeat against the Minnesota Vikings. This time, nine of his 10 tackles were by himself, adding two tackles for loss and a quarterback hit.

#84 Harrison Bryant | TE | Las Vegas Raiders
– Bryant played a season high 13 snaps on special teams in the Raiders’ 36-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers.

Next Game: vs. Cleveland – Sunday, 4:25 p.m. (CBS)
#91 Trey Hendrickson | DE | Cincinnati Bengals
– It was another stellar outing from Hendrickson. Playing in primetime on Monday night, he notched his third sack of the year, a key one in the fourth quarter to keep the Bengals in the game. Cincinnati ultimately lost to the Washington Commanders by a score of 38-33.

#43 Matthew Hayball | P | New Orleans Saints
– Hayball saw the field to punt four times, including a booming 52-yarder. The Saints were taken down by the Philadelphia Eagles in a tight 15-12 battle.

#36 Greg Joseph | K | New York Giants
– Making his Giants debut, Joseph nailed all three of his extra point attempts, one coming after a score from his fellow Owl teammate. The New York Giants picked up their first victory of the season, 21-15, over the Cleveland Browns.

#42 James Pierre | CB | Pittsburgh Steelers
– Pierre is back where he started his NFL career. He rejoined Pittsburgh via practice squad prior to Week 3 and saw immediate elevation. His performance as special teams ace, playing 13 snaps as a punt gunner, earned him a spot back on the team’s 53-man roster ahead of Week 4.

Next Game: at Indianapolis – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)
#26 Devin Singletary | RB | New York Giants
– For the second week in a row, “Motor” found the end zone, slowing the Browns’ momentum to tie the game at 7. On the day, Singletary rushed for 65 yards on 16 carries. But most importantly, he showcased elite situational awareness with a 43-yard run to ice the game.Devin Singletary understood the assignment. That should ice the game for the @Giants!
