Dozen Gators in Dominican Republic for Gators Lead Global

A dozen Gator student-athletes head to the Dominican Republic today for an opportunity to serve the community and explore a Caribbean country. The 10-day trip begins early Saturday morning with a flight to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The group makes several trips out to serve at sports clinics in the Santo Domingo community.

There is also time to explore Dominican Republic included in the schedule. Planned adventures include:

  *   Excursion to Los Tres Ojos National Park to visit a network of underground freshwater lakes known as ‘The Three Eyes’
  *   Visit museums at Plaza de la Cultura
  *   KahKow Experience where the Gators will learn about the process of chocolate making
  *   Paddleboarding at Boca Chica
  *   Hike to Hoyo Claro, which includes a lunch and swimming
  *   Catamaran excursion to Isla Saona
