Double 10.s Boost No. 3 Florida Gymnastics to Win Over No. 12 Auburn

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A pair of 10.0s helped No. 3 Florida win the 19th Annual Gators Link to Pink presented by UF Health over No. 12 Auburn.

The meet was held Friday in front of a pink clad crowd of 8,556 at the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.

The Gators led by a slender 0.10 at the midway point. The lead grew to 0.625 after the Gators tallied the nation’s 2025 balance beam high of 49.70. That rotation included senior Leanne Wong’s first 10.0 of the season and her third of career on balance beam.

Another 10.0 came on the closing rotation with senior Sloane Blakely earning her second perfect mark for floor exercise. Florida is the nation’s only program to record two 10.0s in a single meet in 2025.

A Gator won at least a share of each of the five event titles Friday. Wong and junior teammate Selena Harris-Miranda tied for the all-around win with UF season-high totals of 39.75. That total ties for the nation’s second-highest total of 2025. They also shared the uneven bars win at near-perfect 9.975. In addition to wins by the Gator 10.0s, Wong shared the vault title with Auburn’s Sarah Zois at 9.90.

THIS EVENING’S MEET
Steps on vault landings hurt the scoring potential on Florida’s opening event. Leanne Wong led Florida with a 9.90 for her fifth consecutive vault mark of 9.9 or better. Selena Harris-Miranda anchored the lineup with a 9.875 and sophomore Gabby Disidore turned in a 9.85 in her first appearance in Florida’s vault lineup.

Florida was forced to count a miss in its uneven bars rotation, resulting in a season-low 49.05. That total was boosted by a pair of season-high marks of a near perfect 9.975 by first Wong and then Harris-Miranda. Sophomore Anya Pilgrim led off the lineup with a season-best 9.95.

The nation’s season high balance beam set of 49.70 included the Gators’ first 10.0 of 2025. Wong earned her third collegiate 10.0 on the event, with near-perfect collegiate-high 9.975s by Victoria Nguyen and Harris-Miranda on either side of her in the lineup. Sloane Blakely also earned a 9.90.

The floor exercise 10.0 that looked to be coming this season for Sloane Blakely arrived Friday. She’s used marks of 9.925 or better to win her last three floor performances. Tonight, she earned her second career 10.0 and first since her freshman season for her fourth straight floor win. Season-best marks of 9.925 from Nguyen and Harris-Miranda opened and anchored Florida’s floor lineup that tallied a season-high 49.60.

HEAR FROM FLORIDA COACH JENNY ROWLAND:

“What a great night in the O’Dome. It was a night of fighting. That was the intention of this week and this competition.

“Extremely grateful that we had this opportunity as a team to use our platform to help raise awareness, help celebrate those [breast cancer] survivors, and just know that it meant a little bit more tonight. It was a very memorable night. [Link to Pink] is one of my favorites. I think the team loves wearing pink. The O’Dome just lit up in pink.

“Really, really proud of the fight that was shown tonight. There was a little adversity here and there and nobody gave up. Everybody kept fighting and had a really strong, solid performance.”  – Florida Head Coach Jenny Rowland
