Team Sends Guard Dennis Schröder to Kings

DETROIT, Mich. (July 7, 2025) – The Detroit Pistons announced today that the team has acquired a 2026 second round pick via a sign-and-trade with the Sacramento Kings. As part of the trade, Detroit sent guard Dennis Schröder and a 2029 least favorable second round pick to Sacramento. 

Schröder, 6-1, 172, is a 12-year NBA veteran who has appeared in 842 career games with career averages of 13.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists on 43.2% shooting in 27.3 minutes per game. Schröder was acquired by the Pistons via trade on Feb. 6, 2025, and made 28 appearances for the Pistons, averaging 10.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 25.2 minutes per game.
