Teams will play doubleheader on Thursday
CLEARWATER, Fla—Wednesday afternoon’s contest between the Daytona Tortugas and Palm Beach Cardinals was postponed due to rain at BayCare Ballpark.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader of two seven-inning games on Thursday, with game one to begin at 4:00 p.m., with the second contest to follow 30 minutes following the conclusion of game one.
Daytona is expected to start RHP Ben Brutti (0-2, 3.26) in game one and RHP Jose Franco (1-0, 2.66) in the second contest. Clearwater is anticipating RHP Luke Russo 1-0, 3.18) for game one with the second game’s starter TBA. First pitch from Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. with pregame coverage on the Tortugas Radio network with Brennan Mense begins at 3:50 p.m.
