Coral Springs has a new Police Chief. Bradley McKeone was sworn in as the new Coral Springs Police Chief on June 9. Former Chief Clyde Parry was honored for his many years of service to Coral Springs and his successful career in law enforcement. Parry praised the Coral Springs government for supporting him and those who helped him over the years. “Thank you for your support. I worked hard and I am proud of my career. I had very good support from the city and the community,” said Parry. Parry also praised McKeone and described the time he was walking into a meeting at BSO headquarters when his shoe fell apart. McKeone went to his car and found a replacement pair of shoes. McKeone said he was honored to be selected as the chief. He said that protecting and serving the Coral Springs community is the most important priority. He wants all residents to be safe. It is also important to provide good leadership to the men and women of the Coral Springs Police Department. McKeone said it is important to make sure that family members of police personnel are well cared for. He also thanked Parry for supporting him over the 16 years they worked closely together. McKeone’s family participated in the ceremony. Members of the Coral Springs Commission also participated in the ceremony. Mayor Scott Brooke praised McKeone and believes he will be successful. |
