The Coral Springs Charter softball team defeated St. Thomas 4-0. Brianna Godfrey was the winning pitcher and had 15 strikeouts. She also hit a double. Godfrey, a senior is one of the best softball players in South Florida. She will play for Marshall next year.
“It takes dedication and hard work to be a successful softball player. I am looking forward to playing for Marshall. Right now I am focused on have a good high school season. I believe we can have a good season and make it to the state finals,” said Godfrey.
Coach Mark Montimurro was pleased with the win. “Brianna was outstanding as a pitcher and we played well on defense. We need to play better on offense,” he said.
