Coral Springs High School football team The Coral Springs High School football team is looking forward to the upcoming season. The Colts have a sold team returning and have high hopes for a good year. Elijah De Castro will be the starting quarterback. Owens Noel Jeune will play wide receiver. Trejon Monereau will play running back. Keshawn Murray will play a leading role on defense. The Colts will play Coral Glades early in the season, The strongest opponent will probably be Deerfield Beach. Coach Ian Headley believes the team can have a good season if the players work hard during practices and games. |
Coral Springs High School Cheerleading Cheerleading is a popular activity at Coral Springs High School. The girls who participate enjoy the sport and the chance to participate in a leadership activity. Cassidy Carpenter, a senior and a member of the team for four years said, “I love being on the cheerleading team. I have made many friends on the team and it is a good activity.” She is also a member of the competitive cheerleading team. Ava Ryan, also a senior said, “We are a sisterhood. I have many positive memories from being on the team. We have bonded over the years.” |
Coral Glades High School football defeats Blanche Ely The Coral Glades High School football team defeated Blanche Ely 24 to 20 in a preseason game. Leading players for the Jaguars included Joshua Gueria, Joell Holmes, Richie Maston and Christian Garrnett. Coach Cam Thomas said the team needs to improve. He was not satisfied that the Jaguars played to their potential. “We need to get better,” he said. |
Coral Glades cheerleading Cheerleading is a popular activity at Coral Glades High School. For the girls on the Jaguars football cheerleading team it is an opportunity to be part of a positive organization. “I love being a cheerleading. We are leaders on campus and we promote school spirit,” said Tatiana Chico, a team captain. Carly Ginn also loves being cheerleaders. “Most of us have been cheering together since middle school. It is a lot of fun,” said Ginn. |
