The Americans returned to competition against Australia Saturday evening and came away with a 2-1 (8) victory in extra innings to move to 4-0.
Stewart and Munro picked up starts in the effort against the Australians, while Moultrie earned a pinch-hit at-bat in the game.

Canada’s J Beckie scored Canada’s opening two goals. She had two opportunities in the opening half, with her penalty kick in the 20th minute finding the post. Beckie’s right-footed goal from 16-yards in the 39th minute gave Canada a 1-0 halftime lead.
Her perfectly timed run through the center drew Christiane Endler off her line. Beckie took a touch to move around a sliding Endler at the penalty spot to score easily on an open goal in the 47th minute.
Shelina Zadorsky fouled Chile’s Daniela Zamora just inside the top of the box, giving Chile a penalty kick . Karen Araya successfully converted the penalty kick to score Chile’s first goal in Olympic action.
