Pompano Beach Chess Challenge
From David Volz
The Pompano Beach Mayor’s Chess Challenge will bring chess players together for some friendly competition.
Pompano Beach Mayor Rex Hardin is calling all chess enthusiasts—whether you’re a grandmaster or a beginner—to join the fun at the Mayor’s Chess Challenge on Saturday, February 8th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the historic Sample McDougald House at 450 NE 10th St. The competition is free and will include exciting matchups, and a perfect chance to connect with fellow players while sharpening your skills in a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. Don’t miss out on the checkmate-worthy fun!
This event is part of a collaborative initiative led by Sunrise Mayor Michael J. Ryan, who is teaming up with mayors from various cities across Broward County. We aim to bring together individuals from diverse cultures, ages, and backgrounds through the timeless and exciting game of chess.
