(On how the defense has played as a unit the past few games) “Now we’re playing off each other and that energy is starting to spread. That confidence really just comes from the chemistry we have with each other and knowing that my brother has my back if I do mess up.”
(On if he expected the defense to improve from the start of the season) “I can’t sit here and say that I didn’t expect us to do that. I know what kind of defense we have and I know how guys are willing to respond in those situations. Moving forward, hopefully we continue doing it and you’ll see a lot more of it.”
(On how the defense has grown this season) “I think guys are definitely more comfortable now. They’re not nervous thinking about the play; they’re actually out there processing the play and reading the offense to know what they like to do. We’re communicating better and making the right calls.”
(On what helped change the direction of the team’s season) “I’m pretty sure we were just tired of losing and wanted to make a change. We’re understanding that we have a big role in the wins and losses.”
