August 10, 2022 BRANDON GAUDIN, DEVIN GARDNER & DANNIE ROGERS MAKE UP DETROIT LIONS PRESEASON BROADCAST TEAM DETROIT – The Detroit Lions announced today the preseason broadcast team: play-by-play announcer Brandon Gaudin; analyst Devin Gardner; and sideline reporter Dannie Rogers.”The excitement surrounding Lions football this year is palpable,” said Senior Vice President and General Manager of Bally Sports Detroit Greg Hammaren. “Everyone at Bally Sports Detroit is thrilled to be part of bringing Lions preseason games to fans all across Michigan.”Gaudin is the lead play-by-play announcer for the Big Ten Network in conjunction with his role at FOX Sports, where he broadcasts NFL, MLB, and college basketball. He is also the play-by-play voice of Madden NFL for EA Sports and calls NFL and NCAA Tournament games for Westwood One radio. Gaudin’s work has been highlighted and praised by The New York Times and USA Today, and he was recently named to The Athletic’s “40 Under 40: Rising Stars.” This is the second Detroit Lions preseason for Gaudin as the play-by-play announcer.Gardner has served as analyst for Fox Sports college football coverage, is a host on Bally Sports Detroit, and a former college football standout for the Michigan Wolverines as both a quarterback and wide receiver. During the 2021 season, Gardner made his debut for FS1 and served as an analyst for various games across the Big Ten, Big 12, and Mountain West. With Bally Sports Detroit, he has covered college and high school football as well as making appearances on the Bally Sports national show, The Rally. This is the first Detroit Lions preseason for Gardner as an analyst.“The last time I was at a Lions training camp was before the Prep Kickoff Classic my senior year at Inkster High School,” said Gardner. “Attending this season really brought everything full circle. A kid from Detroit getting to call a Detroit Lions game on TV…I’m living the dream.”Rogers is in her second season as the Detroit Lions team reporter after previously working with the University of Arizona football team and BCSN in Toledo, Ohio. Currently she contributes to all the Lions social and digital platforms including Inside the Pride, a new, weekly Lions TV Network show that will air across the state beginning Week One of the regular season. Rogers is from Monroe, Mich. and graduated from the University of Michigan in 2018.
