FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The 2024 season for Nova Southeastern Sharks Baseball begins a new era, as Head Coach Adrian Morales begins his tenure at NSU.
“The best time of the year is back, and baseball season is right around the corner. We are excited, honored and grateful for the opportunity to represent Nova Southeastern University,” stated Morales. “Our guys are prepared physically and mentally to compete for a conference championship and beyond. Be sure to come out and support the Sharks!”
Opening Night for the Sharks is on Friday, February 2nd, as Nova Southeastern hosts Tusculum and Catawba in a doubleheader set to begin at 4 p.m. NSU returns to the diamond on Saturday, February 3rd, taking on Wingate at 6 p.m. Nova Southeastern’s opening weekend concludes on Sunday, February 4th, as the Sharks match up against Washburn.
The following weekend, NSU takes on another trio of opponents, beginning on Friday, February 9th against Erskine. Nova Southeastern plays Post on 2/10 and finishes the weekend against Mount Olive on February 11th. The Sharks conclude their season opening three weekend homestand with a three-game season versus Lander, starting with a doubleheader, on February 16th.
Sunshine State Conference play starts for Nova Southeastern with a trip to Florida Tech (2/23) before a non-conference matchup in Miami Shores against Barry (2/27). NSU hosts Rollins, for the first home SSC series of the season, with a three-game weekend series beginning on March 1st. The following weekend, NSU welcomes Davenport for a four-game out-of-conference series that starts on March 7th.
Nova Southeastern travels to West Palm Beach to begin its longest road trip of the 2023 campaign, returning to Sunshine State Conference action with a series against Palm Beach Atlantic (3/15), before taking on Valdosta State (GA.) with a three-game series starting on March 22nd.
The Sharks welcome Palm Beach Atlantic for a non-conference tilt at the NSU Baseball Complex (3/26), before hosting the Tampa Spartans in a Sunshine State Conference series (3/28). Following the series against Tampa, NSU visits Saint Leo (4/5) for a three-game set. Nova Southeastern then will match up against Embry-Riddle (4/12) in a SSC series and takes on Barry (4/16) before going back on the road to play Florida Southern in Sunshine State Conference action on April 21st.
NSU home stretch of the 2024 regular season with Sunshine State Conference series against Lynn (4/26), a non-conference matchup on April 30th against Palm Beach Atlantic, before a pair of SSC matchups against Barry (5/3) and finishing up the regular season against Eckerd (5/11).
