Baseball – #22 Sharks fall against Washburn

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The No. 22 Nova Southeastern Sharks Baseball team was defeated 5-3 by the Washburn Ichabods on Sunday afternoon at the NSU Baseball Complex.

How it Happened
  • Anthony Karoly, the Sharks starting pitcher, started the game with a pair of strikeouts. 
  • Washburn got on the board first, scoring on an RBI double, and taking a 1-0 lead in the top of the second. 
  • The Ichabods extended their lead with three runs in the top half of the fourth inning. 
  • Washburn plated their fifh run of the contest in the top of the fifth inning. 
  • NSU was finally able to break through, scoring three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Sparked by walks from Roylan Quevedo and Boris Pena, the Sharks took advantage of a pair of errors by the Ichabods and cut the deficit to 5-3.
  • The Sharks were unable to muster any more offense, falling to the Ichabods 5-3
