2/20/2025 | Baseball BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic baseball (4-0) hosts UConn (0-3) for a three-game series beginning Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Saturday’s first pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday (a noon start) is once again Sunday Funday presented by Demand the Limits. OWLS IN REVIEW The Owls knocked off Miami 2-1 on Tuesday night to move to 4-0. There were no run-scoring hits in the game as all three runs were registered via hit by pitch or walk with the bases loaded. The Owls held the Hurricanes to four total hits.Last weekend, the Owls swept Delaware on the backs of three dominant pitching performances. The starting trio of Trey Beard, Tyler Murphy, and James Litman combined for 21 strikeouts and three runs allowed in 12.2 innings.Offensively, Jake Millan is the reigning AAC Player of the Week. The senior first baseman went 7-for-12 against Delaware including a home run and seven RBI. THE OPPONENT UConn started its season in Puerto Rico but came away winless against Stetson, Mizzou, and Penn State. Last season, the Huskies went 35-26 and advanced to the Tallahassee Super Regional. OPPONENT HISTORY This will be the fourth all-time series between the Owls and the Huskies. UConn leads 5-4 after a sweep of the Owls in 2023.
