HARDT’S IMPRESSIVE WEEKEND
Memphis’ Amanda Hardt helped guide the Tigers to a 3-0 weekend following an impressive three-match showing. She finished the weekend averaging 6.75 kills per set and 7.38 points per set – both national leaders for the week. Hardt enters the weekend ranked 8th in the nation in points per set (5.42).
CAN YOU DIG IT?
Riding a six-match winning streak, Charlotte can look to their defense for a portion of that success. The 49ers are ranked third in the nation in digs per set as a team, averaging 17.45 digs per set. Senior setter Annika Thompson is 8th in the nation with 5.33 digs per set.
AMERICAN IN NON-CONFERENCE
American teams have been thriving in non-conference play this season, with 11 of the 13 teams owning a record at or above .500. On the season, the American has 73 non-conference wins. Teams will look to improve upon that record this weekend before conference action begins next Wednesday.
BULLS SCHEDULING TOUGH
South Florida has gone out and scheduled top tier opponents during non-conference play. The Bulls opponents to this point in the season have a combined winning percentage of .714 – the 8th toughest schedule in the nation. South Florida will take on two ranked opponents this weekend in No. 18 Creighton on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET and No. 17 Kansas on Sunday at 11 a.m. ET.
