OWLS, BULLS START SEASON STRONG
Two American squads have yet to lose a game over the first two weeks of play. Florida Atlantic sits at 3-0 on the season, having won all three home matches this season. The Owls will go on the road on Thursday for the first time to take on North Florida. South Florida sits a 2-0-2 on the young season and will host rival UCF on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET.
Shiraishi leads the nation
Missouri State’s Fumiya Shiraishi continues his strong season, having scored six goals in three matches. He leads the nation in both goals scored and goals scored per game (2.0). Shiraishi and the Bears will travel to take on Central Arkansas on Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.

The Florida Atlantic Owls are one of 16 teams in the nation to have not allowed a goal this season. Of those teams, the Owls have the second most saves with 11. Goalkeeper Alfred Mikkelsen is tied for the nation’s lead in save percentage, having a percent save percentage on the season.

After beginning the season with a 2-0-2 record, the South Florida Bulls entered the Top 25 in the TopDrawerSoccer rankings at No. 25 and moved into the United Soccer Coaches rankings at 22. Florida Atlantic moved into the Top 20 of the United Soccer Coaches rankings and are ranking No. 19 after beginning the season 3-0.
