Three teams in the American remain unbeaten through Week season (Memphis and North Texas are 4-0, Navy is 3-0). The only conferences with multiple unbeaten teams are the American, the ACC, the Big Ten, the Big 12 and the SEC.

Eleven of the American’s 14 teams are at .500 or better through Week 4.

The American ranks fifth among NCAA FBS conferences in nonconference winning percentage through three weeks of the season.

Memphis has won its last eight games after the Tigers’ 32-31 victory against Arkansas. The Tigers have sole possession of the nation’s longest active winning streak after Illinois lost to Indiana and Ohio State was idle this week.

If North Texas defeats South Alabama Saturday, the Mean Green would be 5-0 on the field for the first time since 1959 (North Texas was 5-0 in 1977 after a loss on the field was later forfeited).

North Texas is 12-0 under head coach Eric Morris when leading after three quarters.

Rice is 3-1 through four games for the first time since 2001.

South Florida is the only team in college football to have opened the 2025 season with three consecutive games against top-25 teams. The Bulls defeated No. 25 Boise State in Week 1, No. 13 Florida in Week 2 and fell to No. 5 Miami in Week 3.

Navy has won 74 consecutive games at home when leading after three quarters, the longest active streak nationally.

Tulsa LB Ray Coney leads all NCAA FBS players with 49 tackles in 2025.

Army has won its last five road games — the third-longest active streak nationally (Oregon – 8, Penn State – 6).

Tulane head coach Jon Sumrall is 28-0 in his career when his team finishes with more rushing yards than its opponent.

Memphis has scored at least 20 points in 44 consecutive games, marking the longest active streak among FBS teams

Memphis RB Sutton Smith was named as the FWAA Doak Walker National Running Back of the Week following his 147-yard performance against Arkansas. Smith is the third American player to receive FWAA weekly honors this season:

UTSA RB Robert Henry has registered six consecutive 100-yard games. Henry leads the nation in rushing at 156.0 yards per game in 2025.

The American will issue player availability reports in advance of all conference games in the 2025 season. Reports will be published to the American website and on social media two hours prior to kickoff.

This week marks the second of seven weeks in the 2025 season that will feature an American Conference game in prime time on ESPN platforms on Thursday nights. The series continues with Army at East Carolina Sept. 25 and will feature pregame coverage on the 2 p.m. ET edition of SportsCenter.
