- Four teams from the American sit at 3-0 through three weeks of the season — Memphis, Navy, North Texas and Tulane. The only other conferences with at least four 3-0 teams are the ACC, the Big 12, the Big Ten and the SEC. No other conferences have more than two 3-0 teams.
- Memphis enters Week 4 with a seven-game winning streak, which is tied with Ohio State and Illinois for the nation’s longest active streak. Navy has won six straight, which ties Missouri, TCU and LSU for fourth.
- Memphis and Army are both 17-3 in their last 20 games. Among FBS teams, only Oregon (18-2) has a better record over its last 20 games.
- North Texas is 11-0 under head coach Eric Morris when leading after three quarters.
- North Texas, which ranked 118th nationally in scoring defense last season, has allowed only 40 points through three games this year – the fewest for the Mean Green through three games since 1984 (37).
- South Florida is the only team in college football to have opened the 2025 season with three consecutive games against top-25 teams. The Bulls defeated No. 25 Boise State in Week 1, No. 13 Florida in Week 2 and fell to No. 5 Miami last Saturday.
- East Carolina’s 38-0 win at Coastal Carolina was the Pirates’ first road shutout since a 38-0 win at Duke in 2000.
- East Carolina has outscored its three opponents by a 104-10 margin since halftime of its season opener against NC State.
- Memphis has won 10 consecutive nonconference games.
- Tim Albin’s first win as Charlotte’s head coach — a 42-35 victory against Monmouth last Saturday — came on his 60th birthday.
- North Texas QB Drew Mestemaker has thrown for at least two touchdowns in each of his four collegiate starts.
- UAB WR Corri Milliner has at least one touchdown reception in five consecutive games.
- Tulane head coach Jon Sumrall is 28-0 in his career when his team outrushes its opponent.
- Memphis has scored at least 20 points in 43 consecutive games, marking the longest active streak among FBS teams
- UTSA RB Robert Henry has registered five consecutive 100-yard games. Henry leads the nation in rushing at 160 yards per game in 2025.
- This week marks the first of seven weeks in the 2025 season that will feature an American Conference game in prime time on ESPN platforms on Thursday nights. The series begins with Rice at Charlotte Sept. 18 and will feature pregame coverage on the 2 p.m. ET edition of SportsCenter. The Thursday night series remains in North Carolina in Week 5 as East Carolina hosts Army.
